Question: Why does USCF insist on using their own ratings when everyone else in the world goes by FIDE ratings?

I hope it's Boris Gulko. No one deserves it more.

And though youth will be served, age has its claims as well.

FIDE RATINGS ARE ONLY USED IN INTERNATIONAL EVENTS, BUT THIS EVENT IS RATED BY BOTH USCF AND FIDE

I can probably name 24 US Players better than the ones that are playing.
Alburt, Benjamin, Browne, Christiansen, deFirmian, Dlugy, Dzindzichashvili, Ehlvest, Fishbein, Goldin, Ilya Gurevich, Ibragimov, Kamsky, Kreiman, Nakamura, Novikov, Polgar, Sagalchik, Sammour-Hasbun, Seirawan, Sherzer, Stripunsky, Wilder, Wolff.

Who would win a team match
The 24 in Tulsa or these guys & girl?

Only Benjamin, Christiansen, Kamsky, Nakamura and Seirawin stand out on that list. The rest would be middle of the field people man.
