That was a very curt reply. You might as well have not replied because "performance rating" by itself tells me nothing. Can you calculate the numbers for the top 2 players and prove it?

You could be interacting with a kid, a newbie or anyone so its always better to be courteous if you have the knowledge.

Ivanchuk was the lowest rated player at Las Palmas 1996.
