2012 FIJI INTERNATIONAL OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Dates: May 5 to 11

Venue: Peninsula International Hotel, Suva, Fiji

Format & Time Control: 9-Round Swiss with time control of 90 minute plus 30 seconds

per move starting from move one.

Playing Schedule:

Entry Fees: The entry fee will be F$250 (approx A$135/NZ$175).

Free entry for GM, IM, WGM, WIM.

There will be a discount of 20% on entry fee for those who

register on or before 31 March 2012.

Prizes: Guaranteed minimum total of F$10,000 as follows:

!st- $3,000, 2^nd- $2,000, 3^rd- $1,500, 4^th- $1,000, 5^th- $700,

6^th- $500, 7^th - $300. Best women- $500. Best local

player: 1^st- $300, 2^nd- $200. Trophies will also be awarded

to the top winners (men & women). Prize money shall be shared

equally among tied players.
