very good post
1. Rxf6 looks good.
Simply has to be 1.Rxf6 to start, doesn't it? White has a second rook ready to come to f1, and getting rid of the f-pawn and getting the black king on f6 cuts off the immediate retreat through f8/e8. However, this looks really complicated, and I don't have time to investigate it in detail this morning.
This is certainly not an exhaustive analysis, but 1. Rxf6 certainly looksgood. 1. Rxf6 Kxf6 2. Rf1+ Nf5 (2. .. Kg7 3. Rf7+ Kh8 4. Rxh7#) 3. exf5 Ke7 4.Qxh7+ Kd6 5. fxe6
