Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov has climbed to the ninth place in the current ranking of the world's strongest chess players.
Shahriyar Mammadyarov, who has not yet played in the 2013 ranking party, rose one step becoming the ninth (2766).
Leader of the rating is Magnus Carlsen (Norway, 2872.3).
Teymur Rajabov (Azerbaijan, 2793) ranks fourth, while Vugar Hashimov (Azerbaijan, 2737), who has not played due to health, dropped to the 19th place.

Nonsense. What's the importance to know that someone goes up in ranking without playing one single game?
How many ratings are there anyway? How much do I have to pay to have a rating? I understand its not free any more. Easier if one can just buy rating from a shop. Then lose some, win some more. As long as the money goes for chess promotion.
