The tournament will be held over five rounds of Swiss system and in three playing groups – Open (FIDE, FQE, CFC rated), Section B and Section C (FQE & CFC rated).
The prize fund is $2,500 guaranteed.
OPEN: 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200 + high-low prize $100.
Section B (U1900) 1st $350, 2nd $250, 3rd $150 + high-low prize $50.
Section C (U1600) 1st $250, 2nd $200, 3rd $100 + high-low prize $50.
Entry fee for Open is $60, Section B is $55 and Section C is $50 for pre-registered, add $10 after February 22 (postal proof). Byes available for round 1,2 or 3 (maximum of 2). Send cheque at the order of “Ligue d’Echecs de l’Outaouais” to Marcel Laurin, 491 rue St-Luc, Gatineau, QC J8P 3G3.
