Why some coaches succeed and some do not?
There are many chess players who know the X's and O's of chess very well. What are the top 5 reasons why some will make great chess coaches and some should stay far away from coaching?

All about coaching style, philosophy, and psychology. The student and the master must mesh very well like a velcro for the relationship to work.
Josh Waitzkin describes it very well in his Art of Learning book
