Nice win by Wesley. I hope the Round 2 clash with Nakamura produces a classic.

Nakamura proved once again that he is the best.

Good sportsmanship by Rapport for allowing 1 hour additional rest for So. Bad sportsmanship by So for beating Rapport in return ;-)

Must have been a stressful last few days for So, not knowing if he'll be at Wijk Aan Zee on time. Very good start though. St. Louis is probably 7 hours behind Wijk Aan Zee so the afternoon to evening game felt like early morning to midday. Could have been to his advantage. He was probably more energized at game's end.
