Croatia's newest Super GM - Garry Kasparov

Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov has been granted Croatian citizenship.

According to reports of the Macedonian Information Agency (MIA), as cited by mediapool.bg, Kasparov became Croatian citizen on Tuesday.

Kasparov, a Russian citizen, was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 1963.

He has been a vocal critic of the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kasparov often spends summers in the Dalmatian town of Makarska, located 60km southeast of Split and 140 km northwest of Dubrovnik, and has a good understanding of the Serbo-Croatian language.

In November 2013, Kasparov applied for Latvian citizenship in order to be able to pursue his political activities in Russia freely.

Now he can freely attack Putin and Obama. Let the good times roll.

That means either Putin or Ilumzynov (possibly both if Caissa smiles) are going to Jasenovac!

Vitali Klitschko didn't run. He stayed in Kiev to fight with his people. Kasparov only use his mouth to make money by blasting Putin and Obama. He has no solution and he doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything but money.

Sad that he's becoming a such a joke.

It's diminishing his chess legacy.

...Somewhat like Fischer.

Kasparov just cannot bear not being in the limelight. He can't make noises with chess pieces anymore.
